Itching to Work on Next Year’s Music?

In case you missed it, Andrew recently announced the music the Chorus will perform for the next two years. How’s that for planning ahead? I won’t even buy green bananas. Here’s the scoop:

Carimina Burana Score Cover

Fall 2007
Orff: Carmina Burana, with 2 pianos and 5 percussionists
Bruckner: Te Deum, with 2 pianos
Dorati: Missa Brevis (excerpts)

Spring 2008
Michael Hayden: Requiem
Mozart: Vespers

Fall 2008 - To the Stars: A German Romantic Program (a capella)
Schumann: An die Sterne
Brahms: Schaffe
Brahms: Fest-und Gedenksprueche
Rheinberger: Cantus Missae
Bruckner: Motets

Spring 2009
Mendelssohn: Elijah, with full orchestra

See Pat B for scores of the fall music if you didn’t pick one up at rehearsal this week.

Can Andrew provide us with suggested recordings for the Spring music?

Thanks.

Yes, I’m sure he will. I’ll ask him and post them here in the next few weeks.
